This law comes straight out of the Big Apple — New York. I love New York. I call it home and have for over a decade but this horse riding helmet law, fuggedaboutit!
The rule goes like this, if you’re under 18 and riding a horse in New York then you must wear a helmet or you get a $250 fine. Well, sort of. This law has a few exceptions.
