Thanks for reading Lenore. I appreciate your perspective. I'm surprised to hear that you think very people have friends of different races. I grew up in south east Virginia and I had friends of different races. My school and birthday parties were always very diverse. Even my parents who were married in the 70s had more than 1 white person at their wedding. I do think it depends a lot on where in the world you live but in places were there is significant diversity I'm more surprised when people don't know people of different races.
